(1) Clean the road surface and draw guide lines.
Clean the road surface to prevent debris from being mixed into the mix. Draw guide lines outside the pavement regeneration width, or use the road edge lines as guide lines to ensure that the edges of the regeneration construction are straight and beautiful.
(2) Heating the original road surface
The original road surface must be fully heated. Insufficient heating temperature must not cause aggregate damage during harrowing and affect the regeneration quality. It is also not allowed to cause excessive aging of asphalt due to excessive heating temperature. The heated width of the original road surface should be at least 20cm wider on each side than the milled width.
(3) Pavement rake loosening
The harrowing depth should be uniform, and the harrowing depth should change slowly and gradually. The rake surface should have good roughness, and the temperature of the rake surface should be higher than 70°C.
(4) Regenerant spraying
The regenerant should be heated to the highest temperature that does not affect its quality to improve the fluidity of the regenerant and its fusion with old asphalt. The dosage of regenerant should be accurately controlled, and the dosage of regenerant should be adjusted in time according to the changes in milling depth during the construction process.
(5) Mixing
It should be ensured that the recycled asphalt mixture is evenly mixed.
(6) Paving
The mixture should be spread evenly to avoid roughness, roughness, cracks, segregation, etc. The vibrating power of the paving screed should be adjusted according to the thickness of the regeneration layer to increase the initial density of the mixture and reduce heat loss. The paving temperature of recycled mixture should be controlled at 120-150℃.
(6) Compaction
The rolling of hot-in-place recycled mixture should be supported by the use of large-tonnage vibrating double drum rollers, tire rollers and other compaction equipment. Rolling must be carried out closely following paving. Water spraying should be reduced when using a double steel wheel roller, and water spraying should not be used when using a tire roller. For local parts that cannot be compacted by the road roller, a small vibrating roller or vibrating tamping plate should be used for rolling.
(7) Open to traffic
After compaction is completed, the road surface temperature of the regeneration layer shall be lower than 50℃ before it can be opened to traffic.
