On August 30, ENUO helped Guangzhou Highway Construction Group repair a damaged asphalt pavement on Haiou Island. The Island is located opposite Lianhua Mountain and at the mouth of the Pearl River. It is an ecological island that has not yet been developed and retains the original farming lifestyle. It is not an easy task to repair the pavement on such a remote island. The geographical location and environmental requirements determine that the repair work is most reasonable and economical by means of on-site thermal regeneration.
At 8 o'clock this morning, our team arrived at the construction site. The damaged section of road is located at the entrance of the island. It is a three-way intersection with a lot of traffic. Therefore, before construction, the site must be enclosed and warning signs must be placed in accordance with the requirements for safe construction. After taking safety measures, our workers began to break and dig out the damaged road surface.
Nearly two hours later, the diseased pavement was broken. After the work area was cleaned up, a layer of emulsified asphalt was sprayed on the bottom and sides of the excavated pits to increase the adhesion between the repaired asphalt mixture and the original road surface. At the same time, the excavated old asphalt pavement materials are put into the asphalt recycler for heating and regeneration. Participating in the construction is our self-developed 1500L capacity truck-mounted asphalt hot recycling machine, which can regenerate 3 tons of hot asphalt mixture per hour. It can be used to repair asphalt pavement with an area of 24 square meters and a thickness of 50mm.
After the asphalt mixture is heated to the construction temperature, it is automatically discharged to the road surface to be repaired, and the workers pave and compact the material, so that the damaged asphalt pavement is repaired successfully. In order to make the repaired pavement have a longer service life, we sprayed the seal coating material on the repaired working surface, which can not only prevent rainwater from penetrating into the joints, but also make the repaired pavement more beautiful.
